Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite “fun” holidays of the year to celebrate as a family! I usually go out with my wonderful hubby to celebrate the holiday of love, but I love to decorate and make yummy goodies to enjoy with my kids. I was recently on Pinterest getting lost in all the beautiful pictures and decided to look up some family recipes for Valentine’s Day. What did I find? So many creative idea for festive drinks, snacks, and meals! Here are 5 Valentine’s Day Family Recipes that I’m definitely jotting down in my Purposeful Planner meal planning notes.
Valentine’s Day Funfetti Pancakes. I don’t usually encourage a sugary breakfast, but Valentine’s day is one exception. Stir up these delicious Funfetti pancakes with a vanilla greek yogurt sauce topped with fun sprinkles! The kids will be talking about them all day long.
Red Velvet Milkshake. Who doesn’t love a strawberry milkshake? Grab your favorites mason jars, dip into hot fudge, and coat with yummy sprinkles (because they make everything better, right?)! There are so many fun straws at Target and craft stores so you can sip in style.
Fruit and Donut Kebabs. My kids love fruit… and donuts! I loved this idea of making kebabs with two of their favorite things for an afternoon snack. Another creative idea is making a pot of chocolate fondue to dip them in too!
Homemade Heart Pizza. My heart just about stopped when I saw this! Our family loves pizza so I thought it was the cutest idea to make heart shaped pizza! This can be a fun activity your family can do together, so pick out your favorite toppings and get cooking!
Red Velvet White Chocolate Chip Cookies. Doesn’t everyone love cookies? My kids are homeschooled, but I thought these were such pretty cookies to make together, bag up, and hand out to friends at church or school!
